
Doris Day, the famous 1950s and ’60s star of Hitchcock’s The Man Who Knew Too Much and That Touch of Mink, died early Monday morning at age 97. She was known for her work in 39 films as well as for her animal activism. The Doris Day Animal Foundation released a statement on Monday on her death, noting that Day requested no funeral, memorial service, or grave.
