George C. Peed was an American animator and director who worked in the animation industry for over 40 years. He was born in Grandview, Indiana, and began his career in animation in the late 1930s. He worked for several animation studios, including Walt Disney, Warner Bros., and Hanna-Barbera. Peed was best known for his work on the classic Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons, as well as the classic Tom and Jerry cartoons. He also worked on the classic Popeye cartoons, as well as the classic Scooby-Doo cartoons. Peed was also a director, having directed several classic cartoons, including the classic Looney Tunes cartoon, "The Dover Boys at Pimento University". He also directed the classic Tom and Jerry cartoon, "The Cat Concerto". Peed passed away in 2004 at the age of 91. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
