Kerry Washington brought the party to Michael Kors’s Rodeo Drive store unveiling Tuesday night in a monochrome chocolate-brown fit.
The highlight of the ensemble, pulled from Michael Kors Collection’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, was a sheer, lacy slipdress. The floral lingerie-inspired midi dress included a built-in bra and a scalloped hem. Washington wore it only with a matching thong underneath, and over it, she layered on another unexpected statement piece: a brown cardigan completely covered in sequins. The Little Fires Everywhere star wore the long, slouchy sweater open, rather than buttoned, and cinched it at the waist with a thin brown leather belt.

Washington finished the look with glossy brown platform sandals with bright orange soles from Santoni, plus layers of diamond jewelry, including studs and various rings. Her smoky brown eye shadow perfectly matched her all-brown look.

The actor was on the star-studded guest list at Kors’s Beverly Hills fete. Other industry names included Gabrielle Union-Wade, Olivia Wilde, and Mindy Kaling. The guests joined designer Kors at Canters Deli, where they were treated to a vibrant performance by DJ Kitty Ca$h as they toasted the brand’s new shopping destination.
More on Kerry
“Beverly Hills is one of the few places in the world where you can get the speed of big-city life blended with a resortlike glamour,” Kors said. “From the impressive architecture to the restaurants, world-class people-watching and the shopping, it has the best of everything. I am very excited to bring Michael Kors Collection back to one of the most legendary locations on the planet. Rodeo Drive is a very special place for me personally, as my family moved to Beverly Hills back in the ’70s, and the street has always been an epicenter of luxury and glamour.”
