A shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville left three children and three Staff Members dead and the shooter killed.

Who is behind the Nashville shooting?

Audrey Hale has been identified as the mastermind behind the killing of six people at a Nashville elementary school in a devastating mass shooting on Monday morning.

Hale once attended the school, according to Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake at a news conference on Monday. Hale, a graphic designer and illustrator who attended Nossi College of Art, doesn’t seem to have had any previous arrests before the shooting on Monday.

Six people were killed when Hale reportedly entered The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, shortly after 10 a.m. and started shooting at pupils and staff.

Nine-year-old students Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney died in the assault, along with the school’s headmistress Katherine Koonce, 60, Cynthia Peak, 61, and Mike Hill, 61.

He had no previous criminal record before opening fire at The Covenant School, killing three children and three adults, authorities said.

“There’s some belief that there was some resentment for having to go to that school,” Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake told Lester Holt of NBC News.
