Just last year, the pair were part of a prolonged legal challenge over the estate of Riley’s mother, the late Lisa Marie Presley. You can get full details of the drama and eventual resolution here. But to summarize: Riley and her twin sisters, Harper and Finley Lockwood, inherited the famed Graceland estate once belonging to Elvis Presley and other assets when their mom Lisa Marie passed away in January 2023. Priscilla filed a petition to challenge Lisa Marie’s will, specifically a 2016 amendment that replaced her as a co-trustee with Riley and her late brother, Benjamin Keough.

Entertainment Tonight reported in April the dispute had created a rift in the family and left Riley “deeply upset.” However, things started improving in May, when a settlement agreement was reached. A source told Us Weekly on May 25, “Riley and Priscilla are at peace in their relationship after the very stressful ordeal over Lisa Marie’s trust and estate… There was a lot of back-and-forth, but they reached a middle ground that makes them both happy.”
Priscilla also told Entertainment Tonight, “My family has resolved all confusion as it relates to our plea to the court and request for document interpretation after my daughter Lisa Marie’s untimely passing. Although some media identified such a plea as a lawsuit, I want to make clear that there was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter. As a family, we are pleased that we resolved this together.”
Riley, who also spoke positively about her relationship with Priscilla this past summer, ultimately became the sole trustee of the estate and owner of Graceland when the deal was finalized in October. Priscilla received a payment of $1 million in exchange for her resignation as a trustee.

In a short interview, she told Entertainment Tonight reporter Kevin Frazier it was “very special” to have Priscilla at the event. “I’m here with my grandmother and my husband [Ben Smith-Petersen], and I feel lucky to have my family here to support me,” she said.
