Just like that, 2021 is already proving to have zero chill because the Internet's resident bachelor, Harry Styles, is a single man no more.
After being photographed holding hands with actress and his Don't Worry Darling director, Olivia Wilde, People has confirmed that the pair have indeed been dating for a number of weeks now. Wilde split from her fiancé and the father of her two children, actor Jason Sudeikis, early last year, while Styles has been linked to the likes of Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift, and French model Camille Rowe. The two were attending the wedding of Styles's friend and agent, Jeff Azoff, and were photographed again, following the nuptials, arriving at Styles's Los Angeles home.
"They were in Montecito, California this weekend for a wedding," a source told People. "They were affectionate around their friends, held hands and looked very happy. They have dated for a few weeks."
The confirmation of the couple news unsurprisingly left Twitter in disarray, with longtime fans (and mere admirers) of both Styles and Wilde expressing their excitement, discontent, jealousy, intrigue, and newfound stan-ship over the now romantic pair. Especially considering Styles normally remains ultra-private regarding his romantic life, fans were a bit blindsided by seeing our dapper king appear so unabashed about his new relationship.
Both Styles and Wilde have yet to comment or confirm their relationship, but Wilde has spoken out in support of her rumored beau in the past. Back in November, the actor-director defended Styles against backlash of his wearing a dress on the cover Vogue, and later described Styles as having a "brand of confidence" that is "truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity," per People.
